Event 1: Flight B Registration Closed

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 7:  250/500/50 ante

Registration has closed with an unofficial entry count of 382.  Added to the 414 entries in Flight A, brings the total to 796 through the first two flights.

This event carries a $500,000 Guarantee on the prize pool and they’re nearly half way to that with four more starting flights to go.

Schedule for the final four starting flights:

Flight C:  Friday, 11am
Flight D:  Friday, 7pm
Flight E:  Saturday, 11am
Flight F:  Saturday, 7pm

The survivors of all six starting flights will come together for Day 2 on Sunday at 1pm.

Event 1: Holley Holding On

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 6:  200/400/50 ante

About ten minutes remain in this level and this is the last chance for players to re-enter this flight.  They can forfeit their chips and enter another flight, but if they bag chips, they cannot play another flight (there is no ‘best stack’ option as there has been in the past).

John Holley

Two-time Seminole Hard Rock Poker titleist John Holley (Destin, FL) is still in the hunt.  He’s down to about 12k from the 20k starting stack (~30 big blinds)

John won two events here during this series last year.   He claimed both the 2013 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Seniors event title and the Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo title.  He also owns two WSOP Circuit rings and has lifetime tournament earnings over $849,000.

Event 1: Carwash Doubles Up

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

End of Level 4:  100/200

Level 4 is done and players are on their first break of Flight B.

Just before the end of level 4, Robert ‘Carwash’ Williams (bb) got all-in on the river for his last 14,425.  The board showed Ts9d7h4h2d.  Terri Anne Crawford was on the button and tanked for a couple of minutes.

“You trying to send me back to Tampa?” Terri asked, rhetorically.  These two players are both from Tampa and have run into each other back there on the felt at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa.

She finally opted to call, leaving herself with less than 10k.  Carwash rolled over [9h7d] for two pair and Terri mucked.

Carwash chipped up to over 50k and must be among the early chip leaders.

Event 1: Ring Bearer

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 4:  100/200

Some decorated poker players have turned up in Flight B.

Nancy Birnbaum

Nancy Birnbaum is one of the most decorated women on the WSOP Circuit.  She’s won 3 Circuit gold rings, a Ladies event Pendant and has over $417,000 in lifetime tournament earnings.

She’s fired her first bullet in Flight B and should be a fixture here over the next three weeks of tournaments.
