Event 1 players returned from their first break and we took a closer look at the stacks while they were gone. We found two with very similar builds.

Trenton Marbut leads the field with 837,000 but WSOP Circuit winner Ron Givens is only four yellow chips behind with 833,000. They are the tops in the field but there’s plenty of time for the others to catch him.

Lexy Gavin would have been excused if she took it easy coming back for the Event 1 restart after a long Saturday. The poker pro/instructor made the $400 Deep Stack Pot Limit Omaha final table last night and finished third deep into the evening.

She returned today with 68,000 (11 bb) after very little rest but ran that up to 410,000 over two levels of Day 2 for a much more comfortable stack.

Level 17 is coming to a close and tournament staff will sent the players on a 15-minute break.

Shawn Lucas wasted no time building up a big stack. After the first hand of the new level, second of the day, we saw Brad Coultas and Matthew Yorra awaiting payout slips. Lucas was smiling, piling up a lot of chips, and three-bet shoved on the third hand of the day.

We kicked off the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open series with a multi-flight tournament that had a huge turnout. Event 1 drew 3,730 entries over six starting flights to push the $500,000 guarantee up to a $1,249,550 prize pool.

A total of 467 players advanced to Day 2 and they return at 1 pm in the money. Everyone in the restart is guaranteed to cash for $565 but they all want the top prize of $192,850.
