Event 1 Flight B: Two Eliminations on the Money Bubble

$400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 16:  3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 ante
Flight B Players Remaining:  68 of 547

Chris Conrad raised to 10,000 from middle position, Chris Mo three-bet to 27,000 from the small blind, Conrad four-bet all in for 138,000 and Mo thought for a few moments before he called.

Conrad: Ah3h
Mo: QsQh

Just prior to the runout, a short-stacked player from another table was already all in with ten-nine suited against an opponent’s kings. The short-stacked player failed to improve on the ensuing runout, meaning at least one elimination was guaranteed.

The Conrad vs. Mo hand then finished up, with the board running out clean for Mo, eliminating Conrad on the money bubble as well.

Chris Mo – 368,000 (74 bb)
Chris Conrad – Eliminated on the Money Bubble

The remaining 68 players are in the money and will return on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Day 2.

Jimmy Corrales is the Flight B chip leader with 470,000, good for second overall through two flights.

Jimmy Corrales

The player under the gun limped in, Jimmy Corrales limped from middle position and Gabe Ramos raised to 20,000 from the button.  Chris Mo called from the big blind, the UTG player called and Corrales called.

The flop was JhAh2h and Mo checked to the UTG player who shoved for 64,000. Corrales raised all in for 107,000, Ramos called and Mo thought for a while before he called as well.

The turn was the 7d, Mo shoved for effectively 150,000-ish and Ramos thought for a little while before he folded.

Mo: 9h7h
UTG: AdJd
Corrales: Kh10h

Corrales was in the lead with the nut flush, Mo was drawing dead and the UTG player had outs to a full house.

The river was the 7s, safe for Corrales to eliminate the UTG player while also doubling through Mo and Ramos.

Jimmy Corrales – 485,000 (97 bb)
Chris Mo – 240,000 (48 bb)
Gabe Ramos – 150,000 (30 bb)

2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Event 2 Champion Yuval Bonshtein

Event 2 of the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $400 Limit Omaha 8 (Freeze-Out). A field of 100 players took part and in the end, a four-handed real was reached. The chip leader at the time was Yuval Bronshtein, making him the official Event 2 winner.

For Bronshtein, it’s his second SHRP trophy. Back in January, he won this same event, also in a four-way deal.

“It’s pretty nice,” Bronshtein said afterward. “I won this one in January, and right after that had two second-place finishes in mixed events. Good start to the series for sure.”

The victory pushes Bronshtein past the $1.63 million mark in tournament winnings according to the Hendon Mob database. A mixed-game specialist, Bronshtein also boasts a World Series of Poker gold bracelet, won in 2019 in No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball.

Originally from Israel, Bronshtein lived in Atlanta for a while before moving to South Florida in 2019. This score was his ninth mixed-game tournament cash in a Seminole Hard Rock major series since arriving in the Sunshine state.
