Levels have increased to 90 minutes here at the final table, and with two short stacks busting last night on the final table bubble, the action has slowed, and there hadn’t been a lot of chip movement for the first half hour or so.

Until Jason Mercier moved all in under the gun for 180,000, and Kirk Steele moved all in over the top from UTG+1 for 1,005,000. Everyone else folded.

Mercier turned over , and needed his hand to hold to stay alive against Steele’s .

The board came — Steele turned a gutshot straight draw, but improved no further. Mercier won the pot with his pocket eights to double up in chips.
