Rainer Kempe opened to 13,000 in early position, and Stephen Chidwick three-bet shoved for 127,000 next to act. Adrian Mateos was next up, and he called to put Chidwick at risk. When it folded back around to Kempe, he re-shoved for about 225,000 total, and Mateos called the remainder to put both opponents at risk.

The flop gave Mateos a set of queens and a big lead with two cards to come. The turn made things pretty interesting, though, giving both of his opponents plenty of chance to catch up. Kempe needed a club to stay alive, while Chidwick was looking for an eight or a king. The river was the blank , though, giving Mateos the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

Chidwick officially finished in eighth place, Kempe in seventh, and the six remaining players arrived at the direct money bubble. Mateos is the chip leader by a significant margin.
