Welcome back to Table 5.
In a wild hand, Pasquale Caiazza made a gutsy call of two all-in players pre-flop including former chip leader Gaston Miculitzki. When the cards were turned up, the table was stunned to see Caiazza holding A-7 against Miculitzki’s K-10 and another opponent’s 7-8.
Caiazza let out a loud celebration as two aces hit the board eliminating Miculitzki and crippling the other player who went out two hands later.
With those eliminations, the field has now been whittled down to 27 players. The players are on a redraw and headed to Level 28.

Event 5 ($250 Big Stack Semi-Turbo No Limit Hold’em) lived up to its name on Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open when the final table took just two hours to decide a champion. The final nine took their seats from the field of 156 players at 7:30 p.m. ET after a noon start time.
The winner after the brisk pace of play was Oscar Lindo from Spring Hill, Florida (45 minutes north of Tampa). There are all these players so you’re never going to have a bad tournament,” said Lindo after the victory about his experience here at the Seminole Hard Rock.

Olvenso Savoie was on serious life-support. With only 20,000 left, he end up in the middle of a three-way all-in with Brian Phillis and John Magnetta. Savoie could only smile and watch as the hands were turned over.
Phillis: Magnetta: Savoie:
Savoie did manage to get the best of it as the board ran out beating the two AK’s. Screaming happily “I’m alive!”, Savoie raked in 120,000 chips and Phillis and Magnetta split the side pot.
Unfortunately, Savoie was eliminated shortly afterward holding trips but taking the elimination on an unlucky runner-runner straight.

Griffin was reported as being eliminated earlier but he wanted to let everyone know that he’s alive and well in this one with 665,000 chips and chasing down the Event 1 title.

Two players in this tournament are headed in opposite directions quickly.
John Magnetta has taken a couple of big hits including having two pair cracked on the river by a set of jacks taking him from being one of the chip leaders to just hanging on around nine big blinds.
On the other side, Scott McInnis has rallied from not being able to pay the big blind at the 4000/8000 level to 930,000 in a incredible comeback.
Another table has broken and we’re down to 45 players remaining in Event 1.

Sometime you look for cards and sometimes the cards find you.
Scott Menard continued to be the center of action as he called a short-stacked opponent’s all-in and was in decent shape to get one step closer to a final table appearance here in Event 1. After the cards were turned over, Menard was in the lead.
Menard: Opponent:
