It took three hours of Day 2 play and four rounds of hand-for-hand, but the remaining 100 players in Event 1 of the Seminole Hard Rock Deep Stack Series are in the money. The fateful moment came when an unknown player in late position got his last 112,000 chips in preflop and Aventura’s Jorge Leidi called from the button. Leidi held the lead and the chip advantage holding to the potential bubble boy’s .

The runout fell and Leidi earned the pot while bursting the bubble in the process. The remaining 100 players have now locked up $645 with the tournament’s champion pocketing $70,295 in addition to a $1,650 Deep Stack Event 4 seat added by the Seminole Hard Rock.

Notables joining Leidi in the money include Seminole hard Rock Poker team members Jessica Dawley and Darryl Fish, reigning SHRP Player of the Year Ory Hen, Lou Stadler Ray Ruszkowski and Evan Teitelbaum.

The opening event of the 2016 Deep Stack Series at the Seminole Hard Rock drew a field of 1,075 entries generating a $322,500 prize pool. Having more than doubled the tournament’s $150,000 guarantee, the top 100 players earn a score of at least $645. Payouts escalate from there and climax in the form of a $70,295 first prize.

In addition to the five-figure payday, the winner of the event pockets a $1,650 Deep Stack Event #4 seat added courtesy of the Seminole Hard Rock. Additionally, each of the 10 unofficial final tablists head home with a $560 Deep Stack Event #3 seat.

It’s noon in South Florida and Day 2 of Event 1 of the Seminole Hard Rock Deep Stack Series is off and running. The $150,000 guarantee was bested during Friday’s Flight B and Saturday’s Flight C more than doubled it as the combined prize pool crossed the $300,000 mark. With late registration available until just moments ago, the final prize pool isn’t verified as of yet, but will be posted as soon as it’s available. As is, 174 of 1,054 starters remain.

Leading the way to start is Flight A’s Hector Navas. Navas, who’s yet to show for the restart, burst into the lead bagging a 709,000-chip stack right away and is the only player over the 700,000 mark. Joining him at the top of the counts and at his Day 2 table are second and third in chips David Albertson (604,000) and Ismael Patel (585,500). The trio tops the counts and finds themselves facing off against one another at Table 37.

Others drawing live for a payday in the event include Michael Newman (424,500), Lou Stadler (400,500) and David “Chino” Rheem (333,500).
