Level 13: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 99 of 407

The field is dwindling down and we are under 100 players for the first time since this morning. A few big stacks are emerging late and we are keeping track for the end of day update.

Former WPT Champ (and SHRP winner) Harrison Gimbel is still around after catch a needed double late in the date. He moved all-in for his final 28,100 with and found a caller with .

It didn’t look good for Gimbel on the flop but he made a comeback on the turn. The river was a blank and Gimble doubled up, but he still has a little work to do to get up to average.

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50
Flight D Entries: 92

With flights of 424 entries, 407 and 407 already in the books, it’s time for the fourth installment of starting days in the $360 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown opener. As is, the field stands at 1,238 entries with another 429 needed to match the $500,000 guarantee. Tonight’s Flight D — which is underway now — is expected to draw just shy of that figure and put tomorrow’s Flight E in position to burst the guarantee before cards even go in the air.

As in previous flights, players tonight begin with 20,000 chips. Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 9 with play concluding following Level 14.

Here are the Flight D details:

Level 11: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 144 of 407

Flight C players have reached their final break of the day and they’ll return to play three more levels before bagging up their chips. There are still plenty of players remaining but we expect to drop down to around 80 players in the next 90 minutes.

Former SHRP champ Frankie Flowers is still making his way through the big field. His sole trophy came during this series last year when he captured the crown in the $350 No Limit Hold’em Event 26.

Level 10: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 171 of 407

The numbers were crunched and the third flight of Event 1 drew 407 entries, the exact same number as last night’s run. That brings the combined total up to 1,238 entries to leave the field 429 shy of hitting the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. They could find their way there tonight, but if not it will be blasted away tomorrow morning.

$300 Limit Omaha/8 (Single Re-Entry)
Level 8: 800/1,600 Limit
Total Entries: 77

Event 2 is quietly moving along in the meeting room and players are taking their second break of the day. They will close down registration when they restart the tournament and we’ll have our official numbers shortly thereafter.

One of the later entrants was Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah. The Tampa pro worked his way through a long flight last night in Event 1, bagged 83K and had a few days to kill before Day 2 on Sunday. Instead of enjoying a few days off, he jumped into the Omaha/8 to mix things up.
