Level 5: 150/300 with a 50 ante
Flight B Entries: 261

Seminole Hard Rock Poker’s Loni Harwood was involved in a five-way pot on an 8c7c6c flop. It checked to her in position, and she bet 800. The player in the worst position called, the next two folded, and Mahendran Ramanathan check-raised all in for 5,425. Harwood re-shoved with the largest stack, and the other player called all in for what looked like 12,350.

Harwood showed Qc2c for the flopped flush, and Ramanathan tabled Kc5h for a draw to a better flush. The third player shook his head and showed Ts9h for a flopped straight that was drawing dead to a running chop.

The 5c on the turn brought Ramanathan into the lead with a king-high flush, and the 3c river secured his triple-up.

Harwood lost the main pot but won the side, essentially breaking even on the exchange.

Loni Harwood – 32,000

Event 1 Flight B: Two For the Team

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 25/50
Flight B Entries: 182

There are four members of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker team in attendance so far for Event 1.

Loni Harwood and Darryll Fish both endured short Day 1A flights this afternoon, and they’ve both returned for Day 1B after a few hours of down time.

Over on the other side of the room, Jessica Dawley is one of two team members still alive in the Day 1A field. Dawley is sitting short with less than 10 big blinds as she and the rest of the remaining field play the last four hands of their day.

Matt Affleck is also among the shortening Day 1A crowd, and he has closer to 100 big blinds in his stack. Affleck is just finishing his last hand, and he’ll have somewhere around 220,000 chips in the bag after a productive afternoon.

Event 1 Flight B: Second Flight to Fly

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 25/50

One flight is running down and it’s time to start the evening flight of the $1,000,000 Guaranteed opening tournament of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open series. After a great turnout for Flight A, it will be interesting to see the kind of numbers that show for Flight B this evening.

The $570 buy-in tournament has six starting flights and 441 entries jumped into Flight A to put it on a nice pace to hit the guaranteed prize pool. They will pack themselves into the back of the ballroom and continue building until registration closes later this evening.

Entrants sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30pm with play continuing for 14 full levels. After Level 14, surviving players will bag up their chips for a return on Sunday for Day 2.

  • $1,000,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 20,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9
  • Day 1 will end after Level 14 or Tournament Director discretion
