With 20 players remaining and 18 getting paid, Event 8 was on the verge of going into hand-for-hand mode on the money bubble. And then the action made that unnecessary.

AJ Kelsall was eliminated on one table as Marie Harrell was up against Loni Harwood and looking good for a bubble double. She held aces up against Harwood’s jacks, a pretty dominating hand until another jack hit the flop. Harrell had a river spade draw to double up but blanked to send the field from 20 players remaining to 18 in the money.
