Joe McKeehen

Just as Mukul Pahuja busted 11th, former World Champion Joe McKeehen also met his fate at the neighboring table. In the fateful hand, Lumni Zhuta limped the cutoff and Justin Harvell followed suit from the button. McKeehen was in the small blind and raised to 450,000. Zhuta folded while Harvell moved all-in. McKeehen called off and the hands were put face up.

McKeehen: JxJx
Harvell: KxQx

McKeehen faded the flop, but Harvell spiked a queen on the turn. The river fell a blank and KcKeehen fell shy of the final table live stream.

Joe McKeehen – Eliminated in 10th place ($16,697)

A nine-handed final table diagram with updated seating assignments and chip counts will be posted shortly.

WPTDeepStacks: Mukul Pahuja — 11th Place ($16,697)

Level 31: 50,000/100,000 with a 10,000 ante
Players Remaining: 10 of 1,366

Scott Baumstein was in the small blind and open-shoved into Mukul Pahuja’s big. Pahuja, who claimed about 1,100,000 chips, called off and the hands were put face up.

Pahuja: 5c5h
Baumstein: JsTd

The flop fell QcJd2s improving Baumstein to a pair and earning him the lead in the hand. The turn Kh and river 7s were no help to Pahuja. He exited 11th sending the event down to the final 10 players.

Scott Baumstein – 4,450,000 (44 bb)
Mukul Pahuja – Eliminated in 11th place ($16,697)

Steven Touitou

Baumstein folded.

Pahuja: AhQh
Kelsall: KcKd
Touitou: Ac9s

Kelsall was in great position to triple up and faded the QsTs8d5h8s flop. He has the shortest of the three stacks and moved over 5,000,000. Pahuja picked up a bit of a rebate and was stuck with a bit under 1 million.

A.J. Kelsall – 5,070,000 (63 bb)
Mukul Pahuja – 950,000 (12 bb)
Steven Touitou – Eliminated in 12th place ($16,697)

Josh Beckley

Mukul Pahuja was under the gun and kicked it off raising to 175,000. It folded to Josh Beckley on the button and he shoved for 1,010,000. Next up was Scott Baumstein in the small blind and he jammed for more. Pahuja quickly got out of the way and Beckley was at risk versus Baumstein.

Baumstein: KdKh
Beckley: AcQh

Runout: Th8d4c4dKc

The board improved Baumstein to a fullhouse while Beckley just played a pair of fours. Beckley was eliminated in 13th place earning $12,943.

Players Remaining: 13 of 1,366

Paul Balzano

It was three-way action between A.J. Kelsall on the button, Paul Balzano in the small blind, and Matthew Zarcadoolas in the big. The blinds checked the Ks9s3s flop and Kelsall bet out 340,000. Paul Balzano called and Zarcadoolas check/raised to 1,200,000.

Kelsall took his time to work it out and the clock was called after a few minutes. He released his hand, saying later that he mucked 9x3x (confirmed by Mukul Pahuja), and Balzano moved all in for approximately 700,000. Zarcadoolas called to put the former SHRP champ at risk.

Zarcadoolas: Ts4s
Balzano: As4h

Balzano had the nut flush draw versus Zarcadoolas’ made flush. The 5d turn was no help and Balzano was eliminated after the 4c river.

Matthew Zarcadoolas – 4,420,000 (55 bb)
Paul Balzano – Eliminated in 14th place ($12,943)

Jessy Alech

The board was dealt through the turn — KsQdJc6h. Lumni Zhuta was in the big blind while Jessy Alech was in the hijack. The pair got the last of Alech’s roughly 775,000 chips in the middle and Alech saw the bad news.

Zhuta: Ts9c for a flopped straight
Alech: KcKd for a flopped set

Players Remaining: 15 of 1,366

Zachary Donovan

Lumni Zhuta limped from middle position and Zachary Donovan moved all in from the hijack. The rest of the table released and Zhuta asked for a count. The dealer broke down Donovan’s stack and he was at risk for 1,030,000. Zhuta called after a minute and the cards were tabled.

Zhuta: KsQs
Donovan: 9c9h

Zhuta had two live cards, added a gutshot straight draw on the AcJs3s flop, but could not get there on the Jd turn or 8h river. Zhuta clapped his hands and Donovan hit the rail in 16th place.

Lumni Zhuta – 4,150,000 (69 bb)
Zachary Donovan – Eliminated in 16th place ($10,404)

Players Remaining: 16 of 1,366

John Roveto

John Roveto was in early position and raised to 125,000. Next up was Michael Aron on his direct left who jammed. It folded all the way back around to Roveto who called off about 775,000 total.

Aron was best claiming ThTd versus Roveto’s 6h6d and the dealer burned and turned a Jc9h2dAh5d runout. Aron’s pair of tens was good and Roveto was eliminated in 17th place.

Michael Aron – 1,880,000 (31 bb)
John Roveto – Eliminated in 17th place ($10,404)
