It was three-way action between A.J. Kelsall on the button, Paul Balzano in the small blind, and Matthew Zarcadoolas in the big. The blinds checked the flop and Kelsall bet out 340,000. Paul Balzano called and Zarcadoolas check/raised to 1,200,000.
Kelsall took his time to work it out and the clock was called after a few minutes. He released his hand, saying later that he mucked (confirmed by Mukul Pahuja), and Balzano moved all in for approximately 700,000. Zarcadoolas called to put the former SHRP champ at risk.
Zarcadoolas:
Balzano:
Balzano had the nut flush draw versus Zarcadoolas’ made flush. The turn was no help and Balzano was eliminated after the river.
Matthew Zarcadoolas – 4,420,000 (55 bb)
Paul Balzano – Eliminated in 14th place ($12,943)
