The big buy-in bounty tournament drew 121 entries and only eight players remain for the restart today. The $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty tournament easily surpassed the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and they played down into the money late last night.

The final eight bagged up their chips and are ready to get back to the business of crowning a winner.

Chris Bolek is the overwhelming chip leader with 622,000 for more than double his next closest opponent Florida poker pro Phil Hui.  Hui (270,000) came runner up to Peter Walsworth in Event 2 of this series making this his second final table appearance thus far.

Martin Kozlov, who currently sits in third place with 268,000 is the returning champion of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship Event where he earned $754,083.

Event 6: Nelson Resendiz Knocks Out Two, Hand-for-Hand Starts

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty NLH (Single Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 13: 1,000/2,000 with a 1,200 Ante
Players Remaining: 17 of 121

Nelson Resendiz

After a blind limp from under the gun, the player on the button moved all in for about 12,000 and the player in the small blind moved all in for about 30,000.

Nelson Resendiz was in the big blind and thought for a few moments before moving all in himself for about 40,000. The limper folds.

Resendiz showed KcKh and was in great shape against the small blind’s Th9h and the button’s QhTc.

The board ran out Ts8c8h9cKd and Resendiz’s kings full took the pot, eliminated two players and the final 17 players are on the bubble.

After one more elimination, the final 16 players will be guaranteed at least $2,360.

Nelson Resendiz – 84,000

Event 6: Phil Hui Leading the Pack as the Bubble Nears

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty NLH (Single Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 13: 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 Big Blind Ante

With level 13 nearing an end and 19 players remaining, the field is just three eliminations from bursting the money bubble and giving the final 16 players a payday.

His girlfriend’s father won the $360 pot-limit Omaha hi-lo last night and now Phil Hui is trying to one-up Joel Harwood. Hui is leading the pack as the money bubble nears.

Here are the top three stacks:

Phil Hui – 278,000
Martin Kozlov – 245,000
Daniel Nielson – 190,000

Other notables still alive include Adam Levy with 78,000 and Nick Yunis with 30,000

Event 6: Michelle Shah Eliminated by Daniel Neilson, Neilson Moves Into Chip Lead

$100,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 9: 600/1,200 with a 1,200 Ante
Players Remaining: 31 of 121

Daniel Neilson

On a flop of Ah9h4d, Michelle Shah bet 8,000 out of the big blind and a player in middle position folded. Daniel Neilson called on the button.

They were heads-up to the 8c turn card and Shah moved all in for about 25,000. Neilson snap-called.

Neilson showed 9c9d, good for middle set, and didn’t have to sweat a river against Shah’s KsJs.

The river was the 5d and Neilson picked up another bounty and took over the chip lead, while Shah was eliminated.

Daniel Neilson – 157,000
Michelle Shah – Eliminated

Level 9: 500/1,000 with a 1,000 Ante

Adam Levy

On a flop of 3d2d2h, the player in the small blind checked and Adam Levy checked from early position. Will Failla bet 3,500 from the hijack, the button folded, the small blind folded and Levy moved all in.

Failla thought for about a minute before calling. Failla was the player at risk for his last 24,500. Levy quickly turned up QhQd.

“I trapped you,” joked Failla, showing 8d7d.

Failla needed a diamond to double up and stay alive, but the Ac on the turn and the Tc on the river sent Failla to the rail and moved Levy into the top five chip stacks.

Adam Levy – 89,000
Will Failla – Eliminated

We have plenty of talent mixing it up including Will “The Thrill” Failla, Chris Bolek, Michelle Shah, Phil Hui, Brett Bader, Richard Rice, Brett Apter, Mike Beasley, and Adam Levy.

They will finish out this level, take a 15-minute break, and registration and registration will close when they return.
