Angel Vu

The Six-Max tournament is off to a banging start with enough players to get them halfway to the $100,000 Guarantee in the first level. The short-handed format allows them a little more room to stretch out and enjoy the grind.

Former SHRP champ Jay Romano, November Niner Neil Blumenfield, and inaugural Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Angel Vu are among the early entrants. Also in the field so far we found Carey Pickus, Richard Rice, and Marie Harrell among many others.

Scott Sanders’ stack, climbing higher

It is just before the noon hour in the Hard Rock Event Center and poker tournament action is just moments away from kickoff. Getting Tuesday’s play started is a $570 buy-in six-max re-entry tournament. Players in this event will be jockeying for a prize pool worth a guaranteed $100,000 and they’ll take their seats to 15,000 chips. This is a one-day event structured with 30-minute levels throughout and it’s expected to conclude some time after midnight.

Here are the details:

12PM: Event 9 – $570 Six-Max NLH (Re-Entry)

  • $100,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 15,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9
  • This is a one-day tournament and plays until completion
  • Event 9 Structure Sheet

This new event is running alongside Day 3 of the big Ultimate Re-Entry tournament and much of our live reporting efforts will be concentrated there. However with only 11 players remaining in the Ultimate Re-Entry, we’ll pick up the mid and late stages of the $570 following it all the way down to a champion.

Good luck, players!
