Players Remaining: 4 of 338

With the final board showing Jc7d6d6sKs on the river and about 300,000 already in the pot, Saber Hamrouni bet 135,000 from the big blind.

David Prociak raised from the cutoff to 375,000, and Hamrouni moved all in for 835,000.

Prociak asked for an exact count and tanked for a while before he called with Ah6h for trip sixes. But Hamrouni turned over 7s7c to win the pot with a full house, sevens full of sixes, and double up in chips.

Saber Hamrouni  –  1,970,000  (79 bb)
David Prociak  –  725,000  (29 bb)

A few minutes later, Level 23 came to an end, and Level 24 began with increased blinds of 15,000-30,000 with a big-blind ante of 30,000. With four players remaining, the average chip stack is about 1.27 million (42 big blinds).

Raffaello Locatelli
Raffaello Locatelli

At the end of the previous post, we asked, “Can Raffaello Locatelli make the full comeback from less than a single big blind?” (Spoiler Alert: No.)

After he bounced back a bit to 225,000, Locatelli skipped the next two hands before he found himself in the big blind, with the big-blind ante.

Barry Weprin raised from the button to 50,000, Brian Hastings called from the small blind, and Locatelli moved all in for about 205,000. Weprin called, and Hastings folded.

Locatelli turned over Ad7c, but he needed to improve to stay alive against Weprin’s KhKc.

The board came Js8c2c3dQd, and the pocket kings held up for Weprin to win the pot and eliminate Locatelli in fifth place.

Raffaello Locatelli  –  Eliminated in 5th Place  ($8,380)

Level 22: 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante
Players Remaining: 5 of 338

The next hand after Raffaello Locatelli was knocked all the way down to 15K, Barry Weprin raised from the cutoff to 45,000. Locatelli called all in from the small blind for 15,000, and Saber Hamrouni called from the big blind. The main pot was worth 65,000, with a side pot of 60,000.

Hamrouni and Weprin checked to the river on a board of KhJh2dKc5d, and all three players showed their cards:

Barry Weprin:  5h4h  (two pair, kings and fives)
Saber Hamrouni:  9s8c  (nine high)
Raffaello Locatelli:  AhKs  (trip kings)

Locatelli won the main pot to quadruple up, while Weprin won the side pot with his two pair to make a very small profit on the hand.

Raffaello Locatelli  –  65,000  (3 bb)

The next hand, Weprin raised under the gun to 45,000, and Locatelli moved all in from the button for 65,000. David Prociak called from the big blind, and Weprin also called. There was 225,000 in the main pot, and any further betting would create a side pot.

Prociak and Weprin checked to the river on a board of 7c7s6s4d10h, and all three players showed their cards:

David Prociak:  QcJh  (queen high)
Barry Weprin:  Ac5c  (ace high)
Raffaello Locatelli:  AsJd  (ace high, jack kicker)

Locatelli won his second pot in a row to more than triple up to 225,000.

Raffaello Locatelli  –  225,000  (11 bb)
David Prociak  –  1,850,000  (93 bb)
Barry Weprin  –  1,175,000  (59 bb)

Level 22: 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante
Players Remaining: 5 of 338

Raffaello Locatelli raised under the gun to 45,000, David Prociak called from the button, and Brian Hastings called from the big blind.

Both players checked to the turn on a board of Qh7s6c5c, and Hastings bet 65,000. Locatelli thought for a while before he called, and Prociak thought for a while before he also called.

The river card was the 7c, and it checked to Prociak, who bet 275,000. Hastings folded, and Locatelli tanked for a while, saying, “Good bet. He’s tough to crack.”

Locatelli eventually called, and Prociak turned over Kc9c to win the pot with a king-high flush, and Locatelli mucked.

David Prociak  –  1,930,000  (97 bb)
Raffaello Locatelli  –  640,000  (32 bb)

One hand later, after a flop of Kc7h4h, Locatelli checked the big blind, Barry Weprin bet 65,000 from the button, and Locatelli called.

The turn card was the 9d, Locatelli checked, Weprin moved all in for 520,000, and Locatelli called with Ks3h for a pair of kings. But Weprin turned over Kd10h for a pair of kings with a higher kicker.

The river card paired the board with the 4s, but Weprin’s kicker still played for him to win the pot and double up in chips, knocking Locatelli down to less than one big blind.

Barry Weprin  –  1,250,000  (63 bb)
Raffaello Locatelli  –   15,000  (<1 bb)

Uri Kadosh
Uri Kadosh

Uri Kadosh raised from the hijack to 40,000, Brian Hastings reraised from the button to 110,000, and Kadosh called.

Both players checked to the turn on a board of AsJd4sQc, Hastings bet 90,000, and Kadosh thought for a bit before moving all in for about 350,000.

Hastings quickly called with QhQd for a set of queens, and Kadosh turned over Ad9c for a pair of aces. Kadosh was drawing dead.

The meaningless river card paired the board with the Jd to give Hastings an unnecessary full house as he eliminated Kadosh in sixth place.

Brian Hastings  –  1,235,000  (77 bb)
Uri Kadosh  –  Eliminated in 6th Place  ($6,210)

A few hands later, after a flop of Kd6h3c, David Prociak checked the big blind, Barry Weprin moved all in under the gun for 232,000, and Prociak thought for a bit before he called with 5h5d. Weprin turned over AhAd, and needed his hand to hold to stay alive.

The turn card was the 9c, the river card was the Jd, and Weprin won the pot with his pocket aces to double up in chips.

Barry Weprin  –  540,000  (34 bb)
