Michael Newman has five SHRP titles and picked up a major win when he captured the RRPO Championship in 2017. Earlier that year, Tony Sinishtaj put his name on the WPT Champions Cup for a win in the WPT Poker Showdown Championship.

We mentioned our regular loyal locals earlier but we do have some out of town visitors. They help make these big tournaments special and we thank them.

To name a few, we found Kitty Kuo, Michael Tureniec, Matt Affleck and Mike Dentale. All from different parts of the world with Tureniec the furthest of them all.

The Swede is a regular participant during all of our series and last week was no different. Tureniec captured the $600 buy-in/$250K guaranteed Event 9 on Wednesday, his second major SHRP win after he won the 2018 WPTDeepStacks Immokalee Main Event we hosted.

As with any big tournament, especially with WPT events, we see a lot of travelers from out of town but we also host a huge contingent of our loyal, regular players from everyday action in the Poker Room.

As soon as the clock hit 11 am, Tony Burns instructured dealers to put cards in the air for the 2019 WPT RRPO Championship.

They will play two 60-minute levels before taking the first break of the day.

The preliminary events are in the books, the day off is complete, and now it is time to roll out the 2019 WPT Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” in the Seminole Ballroom.

The big $3,500 buy-in tournament on the schedule kicks off at 11 am with the first of two flights as the field toward its $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players will start out with 40,000 deep deep stacks and levels last 60 minutes for Day 1 and Day 2. They increase to 90 minutes on Day 3 as the remaining players vie for the WPT final table. Late registration is available until the start of 9 at 9:15pm with unlimited re-entries available during that time.

There is also a 90-minute dinner break at 5:30 pm and Day 1A will come to an end after Level 10, those with chips will return on Sunday at noon for Day 2.

It will be a busy day in the Seminole Ballroom with the Championship underway and five more satellites.

The WPT RRPO Championship gets underway next Friday and you have plenty of chances to win your way into the $2,000,000 Guaranteed tournament between now and the close of registration.

Starting Friday evening, we have 16 satellites running with a combined 79 Championship seats guaranteed and different formats to fit your style. We will have standard Mega Satellites along with turbo and super turbo structures.

There will also be two special “One and Done” satellites, a structure that rewards building a big stack and negates excessive tanking near the bubble.

In addition to those 16 satellites, there are several other ways to win your way into the Championship. The schedule has two $150 Big Stack NLH tournaments and each will award a seat into the Championship, added to the top prize. If you play in our Holiday Triple Stack on November 28, that tournament also featured a Championship seat added to 1st place.
