Three flights have closed for RRPO Event 9 with one more to go at 5 pm in the Seminole Ballroom. The $400 Deep Stack tournament already surpassed its $250,000 guaranteed prize pool with 548 entries already locked in.

They will start out with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 9:30 pm and Flight D will finish at the end of Level 14. Anyone still in the game will bag up their chips and return on Wednesday for Day 2 at noon.

We mentioned there were a lot of travelers in today’s field but it is two locals leading the way after registration closed.

Four-time SHRP champion Nigel Murray pulled a big lead over the last four levels and returned to a stack worth 195,800. That is a big number and even second place Willie Wiggins (119,900) has a bit of work to do if he wants to catch the fellow South Florida grinder.
