Tournament staff called all alternates and seats are filling in. The 332 entries in Flight C are more than enough to put the combined count over 1,000 with registration open until noon tomorrow.

Jerry Cavicchi looks like the new leader at the moment with 190,000 while Josh Phillips is also moving up with 148,000.

They will play out this level and take the final break of the day.

Tommy Bates

The entry count is flying now as the alternate list gets whittled down as the field nears the dinner break.

Tommy Bates was one of the early alternates and making his return to Seminole Hard Rock Poker. This time in a little different manner than in the past. Bates is the former Director of Poker Operations for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and played a huge part in building the poker environment in the Tampa area.

This time around he’s sitting at a table instead of trying to get players into the seats. And Bates is doing well so far with nearly 80,000 heading into dinner.
