Flight C returned from their first break of the day with the entry count only a few clicks away from 100.  The combined total is over 300 and the prize pool surpassed $450,000 earlier this morning.

You might notice something a little different from the picture above. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood lifted the mandatory mask requirement this week and they are now voluntary. The Poker Room began removing the plexiglass dividers on the table last night and the process continues.

Time is running out if you want to take home a trophy from the May Deep Stack Poker Series headliner. Two flights of the $1,700 buy-in tournament are in the books and today we run the last one starting at 10 am.

The $200,000 guaranteed prize pool was already surpassed and it was over $300,000 before Flight B ended. Today we will add a lot more money to it.

Players start with 50,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at noon with unlimited re-entries during that time.

Cards fly at 10 am and we will take a look at the field at the first break.

Flight B of Event 5 came to an end with 34 players remaining of the start 127. Josh Mountain stormed ahead over the last few levels and put 446,000 away for Day 2 on Sunday.

We have a combined 55 players with seats for Day 2 with a lot more expected after tomorrow’s final flight which starts at 10 am.

Flight B slid into the 14th level of the day, the last 40 minutes for players to build a bag for Day 2 on Sunday. We have 127 entries with 48 remaining and likely to get to five tables before they bag up.

We will post the top stacks and combined chip count so far once everything is settled.

The last break has come and gone and players returned to their seats to play out the last three levels of the day. We have 124 entries in the field today with the clock showing 56 remaining for Flight B. We’ll add over a few before bagging and lose a bit more.

We have a new leader in the house. Mark Guariglia was the lastest to join the big stacks and he’s sitting comfortably behind a couple barrels worth 240,500 in the late stages of the day.

The last break is on the near horizon and the march of the entry count slowed as the night draws on. The prize pool is over $300,000 with one big left to run tomorrow afternoon.

Charlie Odenz jumped in the game early today and running up another stack. The SHRP regular ran deep in Event 3 and made the final table which was played out yesterday. Odenz banked a sixth-place finish for $10,955 pushing his career total near $150,000.

The numbers keep piling up and Event 5 hit another milestone in the middle of Level 10. The combined entry count is now over 200 to put a +$300,000 prize pool up for grabs.

Yesterday we mentioned Jason Young playing in Event 5, tossing chips on a freeroll thanks to winning the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year.

Now we have the most recent POY in the field on the same freeroll. David Nathaniel Jr took top honors in the race, highlighted by a win in the 2019 SHR Tampa Pinktober Main Event. Part of his prize package was an entry into this tournament and we hope to see him in the end.
