Kenneth Bruno Doubles Up with Queens on the Money Bubble
Kenneth Bruno leaned back in his chair to whisper that he had pocket queens when he was all in against the player in the small blind.

Kenneth Bruno called us over during Hand #6 to show that he was down to 12,000 in chips, and he would be forced all in from the big blind in Hand #9.

Sure enough, in Hand #9, Bruno was all in from the big blind for 6,000 (with his other 6,000 in the ante), and he was up against the small blind.

While they were waiting for the action to finish at the other tables, Bruno gave us another preview, quietly whispering that he had pocket queens.

When all the other tables finished their action, the small blind turned over Qh6c, and the table gasped as Bruno revealed QsQd.

It was a heck of a sweat as the board came 7h6s5hJh5d — the small blind paired his six on the flop and turned a heart flush draw, but missed all of his outs on the river. Bruno won the pot with his pocket queens to “double up” in chips, though he only increased from 12,000 to 18,000 because, as the big blind, he was responsible for the entire ante.

Kenneth Bruno  –  18,000  (3 bb)

Chad Reynolds

Three hands later, in Hand #12, Bruno was all in preflop from the button for 15,000 (he lost 3,000 when he was the small blind), and once again he turned over a monster — KsKc.

Bruno was up against Chad Reynolds in the hijack, who turned over 5s5d.

But pocket kings aren’t invulnerable, and the board came 9d5h2sAs10c — Reynolds flopped a set of fives to win the pot and eliminate Bruno in 71st place, bursting the Money Bubble.

Chad Reynolds  –  140,000  (23 bb)
Kenneth Bruno  –  Eliminated in 71st Place

The final 70 players are all guaranteed to earn at least $1,770 each, and the average chip count is about 159,000 (27 big blinds).
