We expected a big crowd for the $1,100 but the gang at the start was a little surprising. There were 200 entries in the game at the start and another 50 joined over the first level. A fantastic way to head into Championship weekend and we’ll have to start looking at historic numbers again.

We found Fernando Rodriguez back in the Seminole Ballroom this afternoon, only a few days removed from his Event 1 win for $205,000.

Most of the active tables today in the Seminole Ballroom will be filled with Championship satellite players but we have a big warmup tournament running as well. Event 15 is a $1,100 buy-in Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool that should be smashed.

Players will start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels will last 30 minutes. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm with single re-entry available should they go bust. A dinner break is scheduled at 6 pm and they will play down to a champion after the return.

Cards fly at noon and we will track them along the path to a trophy.
