The new week of the RRPO series brought around the last multi-flight warmup before the Championship kicks off Friday. The first two flights drew a combined 419 entries on Monday and the last two run today. The $600 buy-in Deep Stack tournament has a $250,000 guarantee and it will be surpassed early today.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm. Flight C will continue through the day and come to an end when 12.5% of the field remains. Those players will bag up their chips and return on Wednesday for Day 2 in the money.

We have more than 100 entries in Flight A as they rolled into the second level, a nice turnout on a Monday morning. We found some familiar faces making their way to the Grand Ballroom including Julio Fernandez, Thomas Gari, Mark Cannon, Jennifer David, Thomas Elder, and Eric and Caleb Piderit.

Fernandez holds a very unique distinction in our big series. Only two players in our history have captured three titles in the same series, Fernandez accomplished that feat during the 2012 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

The weekend is over and while we still have some business to attend to for Event 1, we are rolling out another multi-flight tournament this morning with Flight A of Event 10. It is a $600 buy-in Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament featuring a $250,000 guarantee and four starting flights.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes with an increase to 40 on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm.
