The Double Green Chip Bounty tournament was running alongside the Limit Omaha 8 tournament and we found an anomaly between the two. Gabriel Ramos was sitting at the No Limit Hold’em final table and not the split-pot game; his specialty.

Ramos went on to capture the Event 3 title after a four-way deal that saw him earn his sixth SHRP Hollywood trophy, a feat that ties him with Brian Altman and Michael Newman for second-most in our history.

With this win, Ramos adds both a No Limit Hold’em title to his list of credentials along with his first Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open trophy. He now has a complete set.

Ramos held the chip lead when the last four players decided on a deal to divide up the remaining prize money. He took home $3,000 plus the coveted trophy to go with the rest. Ramos isn’t done for the series, there are more games to play and trophies to win.

“I spent six weeks in Vegas,” he continued. “I said I’d go home if I won a trophy.”

“But I have to play the HORSE tomorrow,” he said with a smile.

Registration closed for the Quad Stack Double Green Chip Bounty tournament with 158 entries. They combined to create a regular prize pool worth $17,380 and another $7,900 up for grabs in the form of bounties.

The last 20 players will earn some money with a min-cash worth $300 and the Event 3 champ taking home $4,410.

Double Green Chip Bounty players were sent on a 15-minute break after Level 9 and this is the last chance for players to get in the action. The field will likely pick up a few more entries while they are gone to cross over 150.

The third and final new tournament of the day gets underway at 3 pm in the Grand Ballroom and has another RRPO trophy waiting at the end. Event 3 is a $200 buy-in Quad Stack Double Green Chip Bounty tournament with $50 of each entry going towards a bounty on that player’s head.

They’ll sit down to huge 40,000 starting stacks and the first eight levels last 15 minutes, going up to 20 from Level 9 forward. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 5:15 pm.

They will return to play it out for the champion and we will award a trophy to the champ.
