$3,500 WPT Poker Showdown Championship

Level 2:  200/300 with a 300 ante
Day 1B Entries:  630

The ballroom is full along with Salon West across the hall and players continue to take their seats as soon as they are free. That adds up to another 630 in the Championship to leave it less than 120 away from becoming the biggest live WPT Championship/Main Event.

One of the new entries belongs to David Prociak, back in action after a year away from the tables. He’s a bit of a legend around these parts, Prociak holds the record for most SHRP major series titles with an incredible seven wins on property:

2016 SHRPO – $360 PLO
2016 RRPO – $400 H.O.R.S.E.
2017 LHPO – $1,650 PLO
2017 LHPO – $360 PLO
2017 WSOPC – $365 PLO
2019 LHPO – $570 Six-Max NLH
2019 Showdown – $360 PLO

Throw in two wins at SHR Tampa and one in Coconut Creek, look out for Prociak when he enters our tournaments.

We have a ballroom full of players from around the country and the world but we also have some friends from nearby. Our sister property in Tampa sent a big contingent across the state so we’re seeing a lot of regular from the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Poker Room.

A quick walk around today found restauranteur Steve Trizis, author/philosopher/professor Marvin “Duckman” Karlins, and Pay it Backward Charity Foundation chairman Tony March in the field but we’re sure there are more.

Cards are in the air for Day 1B of the WPT Poker Showdown Championship with the combined entry count already over 1,600. Even if we didn’t have a single new entry, this would be the second biggest WPT Championship/Main Event field ever.

But it won’t stop there.

The next milestone will be hitting 1,796 combined entries to create the biggest live WPT field in their history.

New players will be assigned an alternate number and they will be called as seats open up. You can keep up to date with your alternate number by following @SHRPO on twitter or you can track via the Bravo App Alternates listing for the Championship (the Remaining Players number is the alternates available for seating).
