Event 17 of the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $600 H.O.R.S.E. (Freeze-Out). A field of 108 players came to play, making this the third-largest H.O.R.S.E. tournament in terms of players, while the generated prize pool of $56,700 was the largest on record for an SHRP major.
A three-handed deal was reached between the final three players and as the chip leader, Andy Woodmancey was the official winner.
“I was hitting everything, like a card rack, so I didn’t really have to do much,” said Woodmancey afterward. “I made a couple of big calls in spots on the river, but for the most part I couldn’t dodge the deck.”
This marks Woodmancey’s second SHRP trophy, having previously won a PLO8 event at the 2019 Lucky Hearts Poker Open.
