The Triple Stack Turbo tournament drew 142 entries for the one-day tournament and it awarded the first trophy of the series. After the quick play was complete, Mohammed Tarkmani won the title outright for $4,763.

Those entries easily surpassed the $10,000 and put $17,040 in the prize pool with the last 18 spots getting paid. They quickly played into the money, down to the final table, and found their champ before too long.

This is not the first time Tarkmani won a Triple Stack title but it is the first one here. He won the Tuesday Triple Stack title in Tampa back in 2019, two weeks after he finished seventh in the opening event of the Poker Showdown for $42,891.

Event 1 isn’t the only game in play today, May Deep Stack Poker Series Event 2 gets underway at the top of the hour with another chance to win a trophy. It is a $150 buy-in Triple Stack Turbo with a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 30,000 stacks out front and all levels last 15 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 8:15 pm. They will continue to play into the evening until we award the Event 2 trophy.

Cards fly at 6 pm and we will hit the highlights along the way.
