Before tournament staff could begin hand-for-hand play on the money bubble, we lost two players after dealers were told to hold up. Rafael Reis was one of those two when he got his four-deuce in the middle after a flop and ran right into pocket tens. He was eliminated along with a player at an adjacent table to leave only 90 advancing to Day 2 on Sunday at 1 pm.

The two big stacks at the last break were the two big stacks at the end of the day, only with swapped spots. Mike Chiappetta bagged biggest with 493,000 while Christian Barrett was second with 460,000.

The fourth flight of LHPO Event 1 gets underway at 6 pm in the Grand Ballroom and the $600 Deep Stack NLH game already beat its $1,000,000 guarantee. A combined 2,017 entries were put in the game over the first three flights and now they will continue pushing the prize pool higher.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm with unlimited re-entries available if needed. Flight D will play into the evening and come to an end when 12.5% of the field remains.

Not content to rest her run after becoming GPI Female Player of the Year, Nadya Magnus is making another Hollywood run. There’s still a ton of time before Event 1 is settled but she sits atop the counts with 251,800.

Flight C will make it through three more flights before the purple chips come out of play and they should burst the bubble sometime during Level 16.
