We were incorrect earlier. Thinking the break would get here before they tripled the $100,000 turned out to be wrong. They hit that mark before the end of Level 4 and they’ve added even more to give them a prize pool at $340,770 with more than two hours remaining in registration.
There were no huge stacks in the room at the break but Ankit Ahuja had the best of them. He is up to 85,600 for the early chip lead and a bunch of talent trying to catch him.

The $1,100 Deep Stack is nearing its first break at the same time it is closing on a $300,000 prize pool. Both will get here but the break will hit first.
We found a few players in the field who already own a 2022 LHPO trophy. Eric Walling won the $600 Deep Stack, John Colucci left with the $150 Big Stack title, and Scott Baumstein picked up a win in the first $1,100 Deep Stack of the series.

Event 17 wasn’t close to hitting the first before the field doubled the $100,000 and put more than $200,000 in the prize pool with registration open until 4:30 pm. Another big one is in the works.

There’s been a lot of talk recently about players showing up early to tournaments or showing up late or the best strategy. Event 17 has a lot of players in early action and some of the best in the game. The tournament beat its $100,000 guarantee in the first level and it will keep climbing.
The first walk-through found a ton of talent including Chance Kornuth fresh off back-to-back wins at Aria, two-time WPT champ Tony Sinishtaj, two-time WSOPC winner Spencer Champlin, and two-time WSOP Circuit winner David DiBernardi (who has titles at all three of our poker properties).

The WPT LHPO Championship is only a few days away and we will be rolling out the last of the preliminary events as a warmup with the stakes getting higher. Today we have two new events with the first bringing out some of the top players for the $1,100 Deep Stack with a $100,000 guarantee.
They’ll start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one-day tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm. They’ll head out for a dinner break at 6:30 pm and return to play down to our Event 17 champion.
