The UTG+1 player moved all in with a short stack, the player in the hijack moved all in over the top, and Neil Blumenfield called from the big blind, covering both players.

These were their cards in descending order of chip counts.

Hijack:  JsJh
UTG+1:  AhJc

The board came 10h10c2dKc10d, and the UTG+1 player turned a gutshot straight draw, but improved no further. Blumenfield won the entire pot with his pocket queens to eliminate both of his opponents from the tournament.

Deonarine Itwaru raised under the gun to 2,400, Scott Robbins moved all in from the hijack for 28,900, and Itwaru asked for an exact count before he went into the tank.

Itwaru asked if Robbins has ace-king, but Robbins didn’t say anything. Itwaru thought for a while longer before he asked himself, “Do I want to gamble this early in the event?”

Itwaru eventually called with AhKc, and Robbins turned over KhJh. Robbins needed to improve to stay alive.

The board came 10c9s6s7h5s, and Robbins flopped a gutshot straight draw and turned a double-gutshot, but missed his outs on the river. Itwaru won the pot with his ace to eliminate Robbins from the tournament.

Donarine Itwaru  –  68,000  (57 bb)
Scott Robbins  –  Eliminated

With about 80 players remaining from a field of 176, the average chip stack is around 44,000 (37 big blinds). The final 22 players will finish in the money, guaranteed at least $1,175 each.
