November 22, 2022

Event 20 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was the $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em Shootout (Freeze-Out). A field of 68 entries produced a prize pool of $65,960, and the 10 players who won their opening tables on Day 1 were in the money and facing off for the title on Day 2.
Emerging victorious was Colin Robinson, winning outright for $22,135. This was Robinson’s second SHRP major series trophy, having previously won a $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty NLH during the 2016 SHRPO.
“I haven’t been here since 2019,” said Robinson afterward. “I wasn’t planning on coming, but I had a change of plans and my friends were here, so I figured why not?”
Robinson also had not planned on playing in the event.
“I had already made Day 2 of the $200 (Event 17), and my friend said I should just play this. He thought it was better value than the other event on the schedule, so it just worked out. And, I kind of lucked out that my starting table was six-handed when some others were seven-handed. Luck of the draw, so kind of fortunate.”
