After a very long Money Bubble, with the board showing 8d4d4h7c on the turn, Barry Levy got it all in under the gun for 15,000 against Michael Yehudai (big blind) and Michael Bozeman (button).

The river card was the 2h, Yehudai bet 12,000, and Bozeman quickly called. All three players turned over their cards:

Michael Bozeman:  Ac8s3h3c  (two pair, 8-4 low)
Michael Yehudai:  Ad8c5s4s  (eights full of fours, 8-5 low)
Barry Levy:  AsQx7d2x  (two pair, 8-7 low)

Yehudai won the high side of the pot, Bozeman won the low side, and Levy was eliminated on the Money Bubble in 16th place.

Michael Bozeman  –  290,000  (24 BB)
Michael Yehudai  –  115,000  (10 BB)
Barry Levy  –  Eliminated

The remaining 15 players are in the money, guaranteed at least $875 each, and the top prize is $11,330 plus a Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown trophy.

Event 2: Donald Maloney Survives as the Short Stack on the Money Bubbles

During the last break before the Money Bubble, there were 18 players remaining, and Donald Maloney had just 9,000 in chips with limits of 5,000-10,000.

Donald Maloney  –  9,000  (1 BB)

Maloney survived long enough to see two other players bust, and then he was just one bustout away from making the money.

Early in the Money Bubble, Maloney scooped a pot to give himself a bit more of a cushion, but he was still the shortest stack in the field, and the other short stacks appeared to be waiting him out.

The Money Bubble lasted a surprisingly long time, and Maloney eventually folded his blinds to drop down to just 6,000 in chips — a single big blind.

Donald Maloney  –  6,000  (0.5 BB)

A few hands later, Maloney got it all in preflop from the hijack against two other players who checked down the rest of the board.

Board:  Qc8s2sAhJs

Maloney showed AdKc10c4c to win the pot with an ace-high straight. Nobody made a qualifying low, so Maloney scooped the three-way pot to triple up to 18,000 in chips.

Donald Maloney  –  18,000  (1.5 BB)

Spoiler Alert — The Bubble has already burst (post coming soon), and Maloney made it into the money.

Gabriel Ramos

The Limit Omaha 8 tournament came back from break and quickly went getting that prize pool over the $30,000 guarantee. They are closing on 100 entries and they could make this a top five all-time O8 field even with the single re-entry option.

We found six-time Hollywood major winner Gabriel Ramos in action going for number seven. His wins have come in a bunch of different games but he’s still shooting for a win in this variant.

Joel Harwood

The Omaha 8 field is filling in nicely and the tournament was nearing its $30,000 guarantee before the first hour was in the books. Another big non-hold’em game and they continue to attract old friends and new.

Joel Harwood, Alexander Orlov, Brian Gelrod, and Errol Massey were in their seats early and winning pots.

Orlov is coming off a nice run in the previously mentioned Tampa Poker Classic. He cashed in four of the 15 tournaments and made two final tables including a sixth in their Championship. That win pushed the former EPT champ’s earnings over $1,000,000 for his career.
