Event 20 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was the $1,100 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry). The two-day affair drew 229 entries, producing a prize pool of $107,630, with another $114,500 set aside for bounties. All told, the $100,000 guarantee was more than doubled.
Outlasting the rest for the outright win was Matthew Lambrecht, earning $24,065 for the victory.
“I came in with a lot of chips today, and just kept chipping up,” said Lambrecht afterward. “I had over 100 big blinds for almost the entire day, so it was pretty straightforward.”
Lambrecht and Richard Kellett played a long heads-up match, lasting nearly three-and-a-half hours before Lambrecht came out on top.
“Richard and I were pretty much the only ones with chips at the final table, and then we got heads-up and were really deep. It was fun. You don’t get to play heads-up too often, and it was a really good battle.”
For Lambrecht, it’s his first SHRP major series trophy. The score also puts him over the $600,000 mark in career live tournament winnings according to the Hendon Mob poker database.
