Josh Adcock

Josh Adcock from Hopkinsville, Kentucky was declared the winner of Event 35 at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open after a chop was decided upon between the final four players. Adcock was the chip leader at the time, so he took home $151,469 along with the guitar pick trophy.

We caught up with him after the final table to get his thoughts about the tournament win. “I’m ecstatic, I’ve never won a tournament before. Fourth place is the best I’ve ever gotten in a tournament. I chopped for fourth place in two events this summer, and that built my tournament confidence up a bit. I also play pot-limit Omaha cash, and I’ve been making a living for five years,” said Adcock after the win.

He continued, “I’ve played poker since I was a very small child, like eight or nine years old in the back of my grandfather’s pool hall. It’s always been my dream to win. I’m really grateful for the money, and the trophy means a lot to me.”

Adcock also had a nice plan for the prize money and the trophy. “I think I will take the money and probably buy a new home where I can put the trophy,” said Adcock.

The tournament win also came at a good time for Adcock to celebrate. “Tomorrow is my 38th birthday, so I’m really looking forward to just laying back on the beach with my wife,” said Adcock.

Congratulations to the champion of Event 35 – Josh Adcock!

That concludes our coverage of Event 35, but there is still so much more action to follow along with, including three of The Big 4 tables that are still in play. Stay here at seminolehardrockpokeropen.com for all of the live updates.
