Cards are in the air for the last flight of May Deep Stack Poker Series Event 1 with more than 100 entries. The prize pool is just shy of $180,000 and it will continue to grow throughout the day with registration open until the start of Day 2 tomorrow at 11 am.
Two flights are in the bag for the May Deep Stack Series opening tournament with 435 entries already turning the $100,000 guarantee into a prize pool worth $143K. And we have a big flight today to really boost it up.
Players start with 30K deep stacks and all levels last 40 minutes on Day 1, increasing to 60 for the start of Day 2 and 60 from Level 27 forward. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am.
Flight C will continue through Level 14 and survivors will return tomorrow to begin playing it down.

Eric Ward and Carlos Bermudez were in a race for the chip lead but Ward took it with authority. And one out.
On the next-to-last hand of the night, Ward flopped a set of queens against a set of aces, the money went in, and he found the case queen on the river to send the player out. Ward bagged up 565,000 and Bermudez finished not far behind with 532,000.

The night is beginning to wind down, we can see the end of day on the horizon with only a few more levels to go. The prize pool moved over $140,000 as more players jumped in the game.
