Event 27 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was the $1,100 Eight-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha 8 (Re-Entry). The tournament drew 119 entries, which produced a prize pool of $115,430. A three-way took place at the final table, and Anthony Zinno was the chip leader at the time, making him the official Event 27 winner for $25,714.

The win marked Zinno’s second SHRP major series trophy victory, having previously won a $2,200 Deep Stack Pot-Limit Omaha event during the 2021 Showdown.

The $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha 8 tournament is cruising right along and sitting with 90 entries with about 90 minutes to get in the game. This is already one of our bigger PLO8 events, a specialty tournament for those with an affinity for four starting cards and chopping pots.

A few familiar faces include Esther “E-Tay” Taylor, Long Nguyen, Jerry Wong, Phil Hui, Gabe Ramos, David Shmuel, Michael Wang, Ari Engel, Darryll Fish, and Event 19 champ John Binns.

We have two more Omaha tournaments on today’s schedule, starting with Event 27 at 11 am. The Pot-Limit Omaha 8 tournament has a $1,100 buy-in and they’ll be chopping pots until we have a winner later this evening.

They start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm. Their 45-minute dinner break is scheduled for 5:30 pm and then they’ll work their way down to the final table and next SHRPO champ.
