Event 34 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was the $50,000 Super High Roller (Single Re-Entry). A field of 17 entries created a prize pool of $824,500. Taking it down was Brandon Wilson, winning outright for $362,780.

This marks Wilson’s second SHRP major series trophy win, having previously won a $600 No-Limit Hold’em Black Chip Bounty event during the 2021 RRPO.

Thomas Boivin limped from the button, and Brandon Wilson checked in the big blind.

The flop was , Wilson checked, Boivin bet 18,000, and Wilson called.

The river was the , Wilson checked, Boivin moved all in for about 290,000, and Wilson called after a few seconds.

Boivin showed for queen-high, while Wilson tabled for a pair of jacks to win the Super High Roller outright for $362,780. Thomas Boivin finished runner-up for $214,370.

The Super High Roller was at six players for a little while before losing two in short order.

As recapped to us, Chance Kornuth bubbled when his pocket kings fell to Brandon Wilson’s pocket jacks. The chips went in preflop, but Wilson rivered a jack to eliminate Kornuth.

Alex Foxen min-raises under the gun to 10,000, Brandon Wilson calls UTG+1, and Steven Veneziano reraises from the hijack. Foxen four-bets all in, and Wilson quickly folds.

Veneziano quickly calls all in for 60,500 with , and Foxen turns over . Veneziano needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board came , and Foxen flopped an open-ended straight draw, but improved no further. Veneziano won the pot with his pocket aces to double up in chips.
