Event 40 of the 2025 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry), drawing 66 entries for a prize pool of $627,000.

Taking it down was Darren Elias, winning outright for $219,535.

The victory marked Elias’ second SHRP major series trophy victory, having previously won a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event for $39,269 back during the 2011 Showdown series.

The turn was the Ah, Elias bet 275,000, and Metalidi called.

The river was the 2c, Elias moved all in, and Metalidi used a time extension before he called all in for about 560,000.

Elias showed Jh5h for jacks and fives, besting Metalidi’s KdJs for a pair of a jacks to win Event 40 outright for $219,535. Metalidi finished runner-up for $125,400.
