The $25,500 LHPO High Roller was the biggest buy-in tournament on the schedule, and it drew some of the top players in the game. The tournament drew 28 entries, creating a prize pool worth $691,600, and Thomas Boivin won the title outright for $310,255.

This is Boivin’s third major SHR title and his first LHPO trophy.

The heads-up battle for the $25K LHPO High Roller did not take long to decide; neither player settled in for a long grind.

Thomas Boivin took a big lead over Giuseppe Iadisernia on the second hand after catching a four-card flush in a tough spot. Iadisernia was down to only 125K but found two quick doubles and another large pot to bring his stack back over one million.

On the final hand, with the board reading , Iadisernia checked and Boivin bet 125,000. Iadisernia check-raised all in for 1,160,000 and Boivin called with the bigger stack.

Iadisernia paired his seven but was in a lot of trouble against Boivin’s top pair king kicker. Boivin made two pair on the turn and the High Roller was over after the river.
