WPTDeepStacks Hollywood champ Jason Young has the 9-seat with Mark Cannon in the 1-seat and Al Gomez in the three. They are having a fun time and trying to get a stack through for tomorrow.

Mike Laufer (left) and Frank Russo (right)

There’s no slowing the parade of players coming into the Grand Ballroom this morning with another 100+ getting into the tournament over the last level. The line is steady and moving at a nice pace and everyone is being seated as they get a ticket.

We caught defending champ Mike Laufer in early action. RRPO Event 1 drew a record 6,196 entries in 2021 (that record lasted until the SHRPO opener in August) and Laufer took the title along with $160K.

Frank Russo is seated to his left and also owns a Hollywood trophy, taking the $400 Deep Stack title in August for a $19K score.

The prize pool is cruising toward $1.5 million and we’re going to tease $2 million before we close registration later this evening for Flight H.
