Event 1: More Pics from the Field

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: Blinds 500/1,000/100

It’s been a pretty quiet affair over the last few levels, at least on the tables. Most of the players are serving two masters, their Event 1 stacks and the huge Florida State/Miami football game.

We’re used to hearing shouts and cheers and groans in the poker room but most of these are now split between ‘Noles fans and Hurricane fans.

Event 1: Registration Closed

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 9: Blinds 400/800/100

Players are back from their second break of the flight and registration is officially closed. There are currently 368 entrants showing on the clock but we will wait for official confirmation of the numbers.

After those numbers are crunched, we will know the exact amount of the prize pool, how many will get paid, and the top payout.

Marc Cohen is one of the leaders of the 200+ players remaining in 1F with nearly 200,000 through eight levels.

Event 1: Last Level to Register

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 8: Blinds 300/600/75

They have reached the final level for players to enter Event 1 with a prize pool which has climbed over $600,000. They have this level and the 15-minute break afterwards to hit the registration desk and put up their money.

The tournament clock is currently showing 344 entrants at the moment bringing the temporary grand total to more than 2,100 buy-ins.

Event 1: First Break Counts

Level 4: Blinds 150/300/25

The players are back in their seats and Georges Nader is the early front-runner in the last flight of Event 1. More players joined the fun during the break as the entrant number inches closer to 300 players.

Notables stacks:
Georges Nader – 93,700
Brett Miller – 77,875
Victor Milian – 76,250
Derrick Foster – 61,900
Frank Simms – 61,500

Safanov Uziel – 49,525
Kenneth Berman – 48,450
Everett Gilmore – 47,850
Daniel Lawrence – 46,550
Michael Hubbard – 45,950
Camille Pontillo – 41,925

Event 1: Final Flight Filling

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: Blinds 75/150

Alliteration aside, the last chance to get a piece of the Event 1 prize pool is moving right along. The $500,000 guarantee attached to this tournament was surpassed this afternoon in Flight 1E and everything on top is just icing on the cake.

Mike Beasley, Derrick Simon, and Edina Pantincin are among the early entrants as the tournament board clicked over 250 registered for 1F.

Event 1: Watson Leads Flight E

End of Level 14:  Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

Roughly 95 players survived the flight to bag chips.  Ramon Watson was the leader, bagging 292k.  That puts him in the top ten in chips among all the players who have advanced to Day 2.

It appears that Darryll Fish is second in chips with 242k.

The players lucky enough to bag chips will return at 1pm tomorrow for Day 2.  Those not lucky enough have one more flight to try to bag chips.  Late registration for Flight F is open until 10:30pm.
