Event 10: “It’s All About The Outcome”

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 25: 15,000/30,000/5,000 Ante

As more short stacks fight to stay alive in Event 10, some survive and some head for the payout window.

Michael Moed had his eights tripped up by ace-king and was knocked out in 24th place.  On the other side, Christian Rodriguez has been putting on a comedy show with his all-ins with his sidekick Cody Ferguson behind him.  Rodriguez survived three times getting a two wins and a chop to stay alive with some wild play saying “It’s all about the outcome.”

Unfortunately, he couldn’t pull off the feat one more time and the curtain just fell for Rodriguez in 23rd place.  After another recent elimination, 21 players are still standing as we close in on crowning an Event 10 champion.

Event 10: Jackson’s Action

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 24: 12,000/24,000/4,000 Ante

A massive pot has now put a ton of chips in front of Tavaris Jackson.

Jackson and his opponent managed to get into a 1.3 million chip pot off a 3dQhJd flop.  Jackson was in on a flush draw with 8d7d and his opponent in the lead with the AhQs.  But Jackson hit the 2d and held on after the 6s on the river.

Jackson, saying to his opponent “I told you was going to get you” as he left, is now one of the top stacks in the tournament with 27 players remaining.

Event 10: Holding Onto Your Chips…Literally

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 24: 12,000/24,000/4,000 Ante

Everyone has their different chip stacking methods.  Most players (and the dealers) prefer the chips to be in stacks of twenty like this one we saw earlier in the series creating the “Star Wars Imperial Destroyer” look.

Everett Gilmore, who continues to build his stack is now just showing off in this ode the Egyptian Pyramids:

DSC00803And then there is Don Sharogorodski.  We found Don literally holding onto his super-sized stacks to provide some stability in case of a bump or earthquake not to mention keeping them from going to someone else at the table.

No matter how you do it, having a ton of chips is always a good thing and can provide a little extra entertainment at the tables like what’s going on here in Event 10.

34 players are still standing as we roll on in Level 24.

Event 10: New Challengers Emerging

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 23: 10,000/20,000/3,000 Ante

Table 19 was loaded with some of the larger stacks in the tournament and the collision players try to avoid happened as John Fiore and Kenneth Norman who were both carrying around 500,000 chips stacks got into it.  Norman was the victim of the cooler as his kings ran into aces.

Robert Zuckerman then finished the job and now both of them are at the top of the leaderboard along with Everett Gilmore.  Zuckerman stands at 1,100,000 and Feore holds around 900,000.

We move on in Level 23 as 39 players remain here in Event 10.

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 8,000/16,000/2,000 Ante

The tables are clearing out fast here in Event 10.  Another table has broken and we’re down to six groups of grinders shooting it out to reach this final table.  With another elimination taking place after the break, the tournament is now down to 53 players who are guaranteed a minimum payout of $561.

Of course, all eyes are on the final table where four players will have turned $150 into a five-figure score.  Play goes on here at Level 22.

Event 10: A Tale Of Two Stacks

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

Same table, two stories.

First, Everett Gilmore has managed to build one of the biggest stacks in the room as he’s now cleared the million-chip mark standing at 1.1 million.

Two seats over, Kevin Buldo is trying to go from the outhouse to the penthouse.  Buldo just a few hands ago was down to 6,000 chips but after surviving three all-ins has moved up to 92,000.

Both would be great stories if they claimed the $39,809 top prize here in Event 10 tonight.

Event 10: In the Money

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19: 4,000/8,000/1,000 Ante

It took longer than anticipated but Event 10 is finally in the money. Hand-for-hand went nearly an orbit with one double, one chopped pot, and finally a bustout.

Alvin Wilson did the heavy lifting when he called an all-in from an opponent who wished to remain nameless. She ran her 7d7s straight in Wilson’s AdAh then picked up an open-ended straight draw on the 8c6c5c flop.

The turn was a blank 5h and the river 3c sent her out in 82nd place putting the rest of the field in the money.

Event 10: Hand-For-Hand

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19: 4,000/8,000/1,000 Ante

It’s that time.  We’re hand-for-hand here in Event 10.  A minimum payout of $401 is on the line for our 82 remaining players as they look to cash in tonight.  The action has been chaotic so far tonight and this should open the door to much more excitement as these players try to turn a $150 investment into the top prize of $39,809.
