It’s time for Day 2 of the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open H.O.R.S.E. tournament and it starts at the final table. Event 10 drew 144 players and they paused play when Tom Nasuti went out in the 9th spot. Everyone is guaranteed at least $497 but everyone is shooting for the top prize of $5,749.
Nancy Cope begins the day with the chiplead while Grady Yeager will be looking for a lot of help early with his short stack.

Playing Stud Hi/Lo:
Tom Nasuti got his last chip in on 7th street showing Q J 2 2 and was called by both Richard Shtrax and Nancy Cope.
Nancy made a flush and beat Tom’s Kings-up. (Richard missed his draws.)
Nancy scooped the final pot of the night and Tom was busted on the bubble in 9th place.
The final eight are bagging their chips and the chip counts will be posted shortly.

Michael Ortiz has busted out. They’re down to 13 HORSEs remaining in this race. Average stack is 57k.
The two biggest stacks belong to Peter Walsworth (~135k) and Jack Deutsch (~125k).
Still a ways to go to reach the money, which goes to the final 8.

Kevin ‘KevMath’ Mathers got his chips all-in on a hand for Razz. By sixth street, he was showing A 2 4 5 5 K for a King-low against Jack ‘Team Snake’ Deutsch’s A 3 3 8 9 J for a Jack-low.
The river brought Kevin a Ten, giving him the best low by a pip, but Jack drew a 6 giving him a 9-low and the pot. Kevin was put to pasture holding while Jack chipped up to about 85k.
Eighteen players remain and only eight get paid, so there’s still a long way to go.

Level 12: 1200/2400 Limits
Earlier we had mention a player chasing a draw and building the action. As it turned out, she may have been actually trying to get knocked out of the tournament and it showed on this hand.
Hold pocket 9’s, she showed her cards prematurely but managed to win the hand and still hold around 4-5 bets. The floor was called the the tournament director had no choice but to issue a one-round penalty which equated to about six hands. After leaving the room angrily and the table shaking their heads in disbelief, she came back and asked the TD if she could forfeit her stack because she wanted to get into Flight 1F of Event 8. He told her she could leave and be anted and blinded out so off she went.
Play continued on Table 66 with an empty seat and people asking to hop in and play the vacated stack.

Level 12: 1200/2400 Limits
After some initial confusion on betting with two players all-in, action continued with three other players in the pot playing Stud Hi-Lo.
After all the cards were dealt, Nancy Cope turned over 7’s and 3’s which would not seem to be a hand to win a five-way Stud Hi-Lo hand. But as the rest of the players turned their cards up, three players showed missed draws include one player who had been dealt a wheel draw on the first four cards and got all paint the rest of the way.
So Cope not only takes the high but scoops the pot and eliminates two more players taking us down to 25 players remaining.
