Event 11: How The Fates Step In

$350 Big Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 6,000/12,000/2,000 Ante

How big was the move of Robert Melo off of his table to join Jorge Gomez shortly after Gomez’s massive hand?

With the 800,000+ chip stack of Melo gone, the biggest stack on that table is now Mark Gaudino with only 300,000 – around 25 big blinds – followed by Sanjid Acharya with 256,000 and then working its way down.  That table also is currently the one that has seven players while Melo and Gomez are getting the chance to grind down the six-handed table.

Anthony Pena, Habib Nahra, Sergio Gomez and Antonio Velazquez are dealing with our dynamic big-stack duo.  On the other table are Frank DeGeorge, John Utley, Acharya, Gaudino, Yousri “Chicago” Ali, Wally Maddah and James Dickson.

Level 21: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

Jorge Gomez and Robert Melo are feeling pretty good right now to say the least.

Gomez just knocked out Jose Lidvak in a huge collision.  On a board of Kd8cJsTd4c with around 400,000 chips already in the pot, the rest of the two heavyweights chips ended up in the middle with Gomez having hit the straight on the turn with Qc9c against Lidvak’s Kx9x.

In the meantime, Robert Melo made a huge run on the other table and then was promptly moved to next to Gomez.

Gomez stands at 1,062,000 chips while Melo is holding onto 829,000 as we close out this level with 14 players left.
