There will be a new Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” winner as the defending champion was sent to the rail short of the money.

Matt Waxman won this event last November for over $123,000 but was left short after getting involved in a hand against Faraz Jaka and his turned Broadway.

Waxman is hit the rail after moving all-in with the board reading Ac8d4dKs. His opponent called with top two AhKh and Waxman was drawing to a diamond with Ad6d

The river was a blank to send the WSOP and WPT winner out midway through Day 2.

DJ faded all those outs when the river produced the 4c.   He doubled up to about 172k.

There are no easy tables left in this event, but table 1 is especially rough with Nancy Birnbaum, Michael Mizrachi, Mukul Pahuja, Fernando Diaz, Aaron Smith, Randy Ohel, Jason Mercier, Dan Alspach, and Jarod Ludemann.

In an early hand, Jarod raised from the cutoff and got 3-bet by Nancy on the button.  Jarod called to see the flop of Jc8h4c.

Jarod checked, Nancy bet 6,500, and after some thought, Nancy called.  The turn was the 7s and both players checked.

River was the Ad and Jarod checked again.  Nancy bet 16,000.  Jarod tanked for a couple of minutes, then made the call, showing JsTs for a pair of Jacks.  Nancy mucked.
