Two recent winners in this year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open series are in the hunt for the big prize.

Nicolas Yunis is on his 2nd bullet in today’s SHRPO Championship Flight 1A. He’s fresh off his win in last night’s Charity Series Of Poker event.

Carlos Loving has already doubled his stack to 60K (100bbs). Just a few nights ago he took down Event 11: $560 Buy-In Double Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em Freeze-Out , good for $12K.

On the river with a board of 9 4 3 5 8 the player in seat 8 bet and defending champion Blair Hinkle gave it some thought, then called.

“Good call” said his opponent, showing A5 suited for a pair of 5s.  Blair flashed a 5 and said “not really” as he tossed his hand into the muck.

Another big name has entered today’s championship field, flying in from half way across the world. Jason Mercier has just sat down, fresh off his 2nd place finish in the European Poker Tour – 10K Euro buy-in No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8Max event in Barcelona, good for $630K.

It appears that one of the early chip leaders is Zoltan C., who final tabled last night’s CSOP Charity event in 4th place as well as the Event 11 $560 Buy-In Double Black Chip Bounty in 6th place. He’s sitting on a stack of 174K (348bbs) after recently busting an opponent.
