Local legend Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi was among those joining the tournament after the first break but his first shot here went the same as Vanessa Selbst. Tournament staff were balancing tables and preparing to break Mizrachi’s table when he was table to show his flopped set was beaten by a turned gutshot straight.
The 3-time WSOP and 2-time WPT champions shook it off before walking back to the lobby.

The first break of the Championship is here and players are enjoying 15 minutes away from the table. The tournament board is showing 257 entrants so far and sure to climb until registration closes about five hours from now.
A few more big names popped up over the last level including Brian Hastings, Dan O’Brien, Abe Mosseri, Jared Jaffee, Nenad Medic, Chris Moorman, and former November Niners John Racener and John Dolan.

Defending champion Blair Hinkle is in the house and naturally his random seat draw puts in on Table 1. Hinkle won the inaugural $10 Million Guaranteed Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship by outlasting 2,384 other including Justin Bonomo heads-up. He earned $1,745,245 the title, the biggest of his career.
Hinkle isn’t a one-hit wonder. His résumé shows one World Series of Poker bracelet, three WSOP-Circuit rings, and $3.6 million in career tournament earnings. Blair isn’t the only talented poker player, his brother Grant also holds WSOP jewelry.

It’s still very early but some big names have already joined the field.
Just 15 minutes into the start of the day find Vanessa Selbst and Noah Schwartz sitting side-by-side at Table 31 with Mike Leah, Matt Glantz, Josh Arieh, Matt Affleck, Tyler Patterson, Todd Terry, and 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada spread among the first 190 players in the ballroom.

The headlining event on the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule is upon us and it is going to be a big one. The tournament sports a huge $10 million guaranteed prize pool, the biggest found in poker, for just a $5,300 buy-in. Many players are in the tournament via different levels of satellite qualifiers and those continue to run until the final turbo qualifier on Saturday morning at 9am.
The structure affords players space and time to use all the weapons in their poker arsenal. They sit behind huge 30,000 stacks at the start, with 40-minute levels until Late registration/re-entry closes at the start of Level 10. They will switch over to one hour levels at that point before coming back to 90-minute levels on Day 2.
Local grinders will mix it up with WSOP bracelet winners, popular poker professionals, celebrities, athletes, and amateurs. They will all be shooting for some part of the 8-digit prize money and their journey starts today.
Players are taking their seats in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino ballroom for the first flight of three, all hoping to bag chips at the end of the day to battle some of the best players in the world. Cards will be in the air shortly, we’ll be here from start to finish with all the highlights and updates.

As officially announced earlier, PokerStars.tv will be live streaming final tables of both the $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller and $10 Million Guaranteed Main Event. They will bring their broadcast team and live stream technology to provide commentary and hole cards on a broadcast delay.
This news required a tweaking of the Super High Roller structure. The event was originally schedule to run as a 3-day event but it has now been adjusted. The new structure will have the starting field on September 1 play down to its final table of eight players before pausing the action. Those who make the Super High Roller final table will return on September 2 to the Paradise Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in front of their fans, friends, and family.
Spectators over 18 years old are welcome to watch the final tables live in the Paradise Live theater along with a world-wide audience on the internet.
As you may have heard or seen on Twitter, there are stories floating around about the final table of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $10 Million Guaranteed Championship being Live Streamed.
This has been confirmed by sources at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. BOTH the final tables of the Championship and the $100k Buy-in High Roller event will be streamed on PokerStars.tv, as announced at EPT Barcelona and reported here. The stream will include hole cards and a broadcast delay to protect the integrity of the game.
For people in and around the Hollywood, FL area, both of these final tables will take place in Paradise Live in Seminole Paradise September 2nd and 3rd. Spectators will be allowed. Stay tuned to SHRPO.com for additional details as we get closer to the events.
