There are number of events on the 2019 SHRPO schedule yet to be decided, but this evening’s $150 buy-in, $50,000 guarantee will be one of the last to finish. Day 1A of this two-start-day event begins at 5pm and a 5pm restart on Tuesday opens it up to those grinders that work traditional hours.

2019 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida Event 24 $150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $50,000 Guaranteed Entries: 645 Prize Pool: $77,400 April 15-17, 2019
As has become tradition, we close out every big series with a smaller buy-in multi-flight tournament geared towards our loyal regulars. The $150 buy-in tournament had a great turnout and local Neal Corcoran walked away with the title for more than $11,000 after a five-way deal.
Event 24 featured a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and they nearly hit it in the first flight. The two starting sessions combined to put $77,400 up for grabs when registration closed with 645 entries.
We saw 62 of them return for Day 2 in the Poker Room and they quickly made the money before the first break. The tournament was down to the final table bubble by the second break and there on the first hand back.
Corcoran returned for Day 2 with the chip lead, held it most of the day, but traded it with several players including Richard Whitebrook who won this event during the Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open when it had six starting flights.
Multiple SHRP champ Sean Shah hit the rail in sixth place, Corcoran retook the lead, and the five remaining players decided to divide up the remaining prize pool. Corcoran took the title with the chip lead along with $12,155.
This is the third biggest cash for Corcoran after a fifth-place finish in December’s Seminole Turnpike Series and 17th place in the 2016 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Championship.
Final table results:
1st: Neal Corcoran – $12,155 * 2nd: Richard Leger – $11,377 * 3rd: Jose Ruiz – $10,199 * 4th: Richard Whitebrook – $8,455 * 5th: Daniel Perez – $7,353 * 6th: Sean Shah – $3,135 7th: Dave Phillips – $2,399 8th: Eric Kolodny – $1,703 9th: Greg Rosen – $1,238 10th: Renny Morales – $929 * – Denotes results of five-way deal
