Event 3: Pop Goes the Bubble

$300 H.O.R.S.E.
Level 16: Limits 3,000/6,000
Hold ‘Em

It’s a tough end to the tournament for Gregory Monaldi. Monaldi had to fold with only a bet and half left in a previous hand and ran into another big one to finish him out.

Stephen Reed: TcTs
Gregory Monaldi: Qh10d

A very unfriendly board of Ad8d4h5c4s ran out and Monaldi was out on the bubble in 6th place.

With players in the money, the chase now begins for the Event 3 championship.

Event 3: Allen Green Eliminated in 7th

$300 H.O.R.S.E.
Level 15: Limits 2,500/5,000
Stud

Struggling with a short stack for this final table, Allen Green thought the pair in the hole may have good enough. Green pushed the last of his stack in quickly on 5th street against Cameron Reed but was quickly called. Reed flipped over queens and deuces while Green held tens and eights. Green could not catch up and fell in 7th place.

We are now on the money bubble with six players remaining in Event 3.

Event 3: Jeffery Green Out in 9th, Ron Winkelvoss Out in 8th

$300 H.O.R.S.E.

Level 15: Limits 2,500/5,000

Omaha 8

With the players holding an average of around ten big bets, it was only a matter of time before players started to fall at this final table.

Jeffrey Green, who had earlier been crippled by a Luis Santoni full house, tried to hang on with a nut low draw after Hyon Chun had flopped trip kings. Holding out hope with a 3h9cKd6d board to split the pot, a Qc came on the river and ended his run in 9th place.

Shortly afterward another short stack, Ron Winklevoss, was feeling good on a 6d7hKh10hAh board but threw his cards away in disgust as Michael Moed turned over 2c3c5h8h for the nut low and the flush. Winklevoss goes out in 8th.

Seven remain as we close in the money bubble and $3,534 first prize.
