Looking across the hall, we found a nice crowd of grinders in the $1,100 Eight-Game Mix. This is the fourth time in our history we’ve run this tournament and the first since the 2015 Poker Showdown.

The 70 entries we have so far make this our biggest field for this tournament and it’s not close.

It’s been a long time since we put an Eight-Game Mix tournament on a major series schedule, eight years to be exact since Jason Mercier won our last one during the 2015 Poker Showdown. It makes its return at noon and players will need to show a wide range of skills to take the title.

Games in the rotation will be No Limit Hold’em, 7-Card Stud High, Omaha 8, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Hold’em, 7-Card Stud 8, and 2-7 Triple Draw.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 7 at 4:30 pm with a 45-minute dinner break at 6:30 pm.

Day 1 will continue until they reach the seven-handed final table and they will return tomorrow to play it out.
