Six-handed play went on for a couple levels before Drew Epstein was eliminated in sixth place for $1,268. With five players left, the chip counts have changed quite a bit.

Brad Ruben, who was one of the shorter stacks six-handed, is now the chip leader with 300,000. Joel Harwood, who was the chip leader, is now the short stack with 97,000.

Here’s how the rest of the counts look:

Dave Brooker – 193,000
Zack Milchman – 155,000
Alexander Orlov – 145,000

Joel Harwood

Joel Harwood raised to 15,000 from the cutoff and Drew Epstein defended his big blind.

The flop was Ad4h2d and Epstein checked. Harwood bet 25,000 and Epstein called. They both checked the 9h turn card and the Th came on the river.

Epstein checked and Harwood bet 25,000. Epstein calls. Harwood tabled Kc7dJh8h, giving him a jack-high flush, and Epstein mucked his hand.

Harwood took the pot and the chip lead, still with six players remaining.

Joel Harwood – 252,000
Drew Epstein – 90,000

Dave Brooker raised from under the gun and was called by Drew Epstein in the small blind and Alexander Orlov in the big blind.

All three players checked a flop of Tc9c6s and the Qh came on the turn. Epstein and Orlov both check again. Brooker bets 20,000, Epstein calls and Orlov moved all in for about 90,000.

Brooker tanks for a couple minutes before folding and Epstein quickly folds as well.

“I folded top set,” said Brooker.

Orlov didn’t respond and he took the pot.

Alexander Orlov – 150,000
Dave Brooker – 180,000

While those four were eliminated, three players have risen above the rest. Dave Brooker leads the pack with 205,000, but is followed closely behind by Joel Harwood with 200,000 and Drew Epstein with 180,000.

The final six players are guaranteed at least $1,268.

Stefan Lundvist

Pot Limit Omaha players are back in their seats after the second break and registration is now closed. The tournament drew 89 entries to beat last year’s field for a tough group of PLO grinders. We will post the prize pool and payouts as soon as they are official.

Stefan Lundvist returned to the biggest stack and his 71,000 has him in prime position for a deep run. Other players still in the game include Joel Harwood (68,000), Zachary Milchman (42,100), Joey Alegria (21,000), Michael Rosenberg (36,200), and Matthew Silva (20,800).

Wally Maddah

The Pot Limit Omaha event is on its first break of the day an hour after the Ultimate Re-Entry took their breather. They have 65 entries in the mix so far with a chance to reach last year’s numbers.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah had a decision to make today. Since he already advanced to Day 2 of the Ultimate Re-Entry event, he could take another shot to pick up a $2,500 Multi-stack award for a second stack or sit down in the PLO game. A variant that he says he does not have a ton of experience playing.

Maddah chose PLO and he might be understating his abilities. He booked a PLO tournament win during the 2013 Fall Tampa Bay Poker Open, made the final table of the 2016 SHRPO PLO event, and finished eighth in the WSOP Circuit PLO event here in September.

Event 4: Pot Limit Prociak

David Prociak

The Pot Limit Omaha game is slowly building while the ballroom across the hall is packed with Ultimate Re-Entry players. We mentioned Michael Newman, defending champ, and his exploits in the non-hold’em games.

David Prociak knows a little something about those games as well. The 2016 SHRP Player of the Year has eight tournament wins with only one in a No Limit Hold’em tournament. Six of those came in Pot Limit Omaha including his first WSOP Circuit ring here in September. Prociak holds a Stud Hi/Lo WSOP bracelet from the summer of 2016 and four major SHRP PLO trophies.

Like Newman, Prociak also captured titles in three straight series including two PLO titles during the 2017 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open.
